I missed

I missed this lot in my area last weekend, reggae metal at its finest, honed and tuned over several years whenever I have seen them live it makes the bricks shake and the roof crumbles!!!!

Skindred are by far one of the best live shows I have seen for a long long long time, and the proof is in the pudding, both metal hammer and Kerrang rate them highly, let alone their USA fans.

Where are they from though??? I will let you lot do the internet detective on this :)

Check it out!!!!!

Snot!!??!!!! WTF???

Who has heard of not...if not WHY NOT?????

I would highly recommend having a listen! or watch the video below.

I first heard this band in 1998, and soon after the singer was killed in a car accident....which I heard announced at my local metal club I believe the day it happened.

Their album is truly an angry one, placed firmly between metal, punk, rock, and all those other new "genres" that I can never remember the words for...death melodic?

I chose this video for the drums, when it kicks in at 30seconds, I have never seen such amazing control on the kit whilst whipping it like a naughty schoolboy!

Really really check them out. I still put them on my mp3 player.

Snot - Snot. A Must Album
Snot - Strait Up. I haven't listened to it!!! will be buying it now
Snot - Alive!. This is a live album, and really portrays the live essence of the band!

Soul Destruction....

Whilst I am temporarily off the drums repairing my poorly fingers, a lovely local chap by the name of Simon is filling in for my band The Fins.

He isn't your usual rock or indie drummer though, he comes from a far greater pool of experts in their field... Metal Drummers!

His band - Soul Destruction are well worth a shout. CLICK ME

Their Debut Album "There's no Profit in Truth" sits proudly in my CD collection, and I wear their T-Shirt fairly often :)

A Proper good Metal band! Check them out. Plenty of very accessible "experimental" sides to their music, this 3 peice make a lot of noise and in all the right places!

Highly rated by Kerrang, here's a good quote on the band..."....like Soulfy if Trent Reznor was in the band"

Sums it up nicely I think.
No Youtube links today I am afraid, as my work connection has now banned it. Better do some work instead :)

Edit:

HERE WE GO:
