Far have a cracking new album out called "at night we live" after over 10 years since the last one!!!
Loved the band in my teens, and the new album really is fantastic, highly recommended.
Their recent cover of Pony was heavy as you like and a massive tune stateside, well worth a listen.
A little taster...

Shift the Pitch?
I have heard that Pitchshifter are back and playing some shows this year!
I couple of months ago I hunted out a Vinyl of theirs, but earache made a slight admin error and sent me a CD by...err...someone grindcore (it had 150tracks on it so was probably good value!) swiftly resolved and I got me record.
So once again whilst thinking about the band it led me to youtube, this really has become a youtube blog!!!!!!
I think this was the song I probably heard at my local nightclub way back when, Pitchshifter was on everyones lips!
I think they even played live there once, I would most certainly have been too young to get in!
Pitchshifter...check them out!

Shoes and Socks off please!!!
I just happened to be looking at a band on big scary monsters (I will post them later) and stumbled upon a great named solo act called Shoes and Socks off.
It was only bloomin Tobias from local heroes Strobe 45 and Push to Fire, and Meet me in St Louis, and Shield your eyes and and and...hmm i can't think of any more badns he's been in. but they are all amazing and all worth listening to.
Some other honourable mentions go with the bands above, but their turn will come :)
So I popped over to http://www.shoesandsocksoff.co.uk/and found a great download of his first 6 track EP, it's really really good acoustic solo lazy afternoon feel, live sound that is soooo refreshing after years of drum samples and perfect guitars still ringing in my ears.
Anyway I strongly recommend heading over to the site, download the free EP, and if you like it buy one of everything on there, and a T-shirt!!!!! I will be.

I missed
I missed this lot in my area last weekend, reggae metal at its finest, honed and tuned over several years whenever I have seen them live it makes the bricks shake and the roof crumbles!!!!
Skindred are by far one of the best live shows I have seen for a long long long time, and the proof is in the pudding, both metal hammer and Kerrang rate them highly, let alone their USA fans.
Where are they from though??? I will let you lot do the internet detective on this :)
Check it out!!!!!

Might be playing a song with them, piccies to follow!!!!!!
Hill Valley
I think this is them, can't to hear it live!

Snot!!??!!!! WTF???
Who has heard of not...if not WHY NOT?????
I would highly recommend having a listen! or watch the video below.
I first heard this band in 1998, and soon after the singer was killed in a car accident....which I heard announced at my local metal club I believe the day it happened.
Their album is truly an angry one, placed firmly between metal, punk, rock, and all those other new "genres" that I can never remember the words for...death melodic?
I chose this video for the drums, when it kicks in at 30seconds, I have never seen such amazing control on the kit whilst whipping it like a naughty schoolboy!
Really really check them out. I still put them on my mp3 player.
Snot - Snot. A Must Album
Snot - Strait Up. I haven't listened to it!!! will be buying it now
Snot - Alive!. This is a live album, and really portrays the live essence of the band!
